American Airlines uses its narrowbody Airbus A321neo for this route. The Airbus A321neo has the necessary range to fly the six-hour flight down to Lima without an issue. The aircraft is capable of carrying 196 people in comfortable one-aisle seating arrangements.
On this route, you can sit in one of three seating classes. American offers First Class, Main Cabin Extra, and Main Cabin on the Airbus A321neo. First Class is a premium service on this flight. The Main Cabin Extra gets passengers a few inches more legroom and the Main Cabin is a standard economy experience.
Delta Air Lines
Delta Air Lines is an American legacy carrier based out of Atlanta, Georgia. Just like American Airlines, it is one of the largest airlines in the world offering routes to destinations all over the United States and countries all over the world.

This is probably a step up in terms of service compared to American’s A321neo. The A321neo is a narrowbody aircraft which to some; can make a case for being uncomfortable on longer flights.
The Delta A350 offers 4 passenger classes on board each aircraft flying down to Lima. Passengers can select Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort +, and Main Cabin. Delta One Suite is the most premium class selection featuring lie-flat beds for passengers to be able to get some sleep on this 6-hour flight.

United has only one flight to Lima on its schedule which is a nonstop flight from Newark Liberty International Airport in the Greater New York City Metropolitan Area. This flight is only offered 3 to 4 times a week.
United puts its aging Boeing 757 to the task of flying this route. The 757 is comparable to the Airbus A321neo, so there might be issues with the comfort level of such a long flight from Newark, New Jersey.
One of the main reasons United uses a Boeing 757 on this route is because the 757 has excellent performance capabilities. It is powerful enough to take off and land with shorter runways. It can also perform better at higher airport altitudes like Lima. Airport elevation can affect engine performance forcing aircraft to take more time and use more runway to take off.

The airline currently has one flight from the United States to Lima, Peru. Sky Airlines Peru flies to Peru out of Miami International Airport in Florida. The route is offered multiple times during the week and throughout the year.
The airline has a fleet of Airbus aircraft. It flies the Airbus A319, A320, and A321. All realistically can complete the flight from Miami to Lima, Peru however, with each being a narrowbody aircraft it might not be the best option for travelers wanting to fly in comfort.
