Southwest Airlines launched a new promotion for Southwest rapid reward members allowing them to fly a family member, friend, or loved one free of any airfare charge.
About The Southwest Airlines Companion Pass
The companion pass allows one person to fly with a reward member free of charge, every time the reward member purchases a flight or redeems a flight.
The offer is exclusively limited to reward members who register for the promotion and buy a Southwest flight between August 28th and August 30th. The flight purchased during this period has to be for a September flight. You need to travel on a Southwest flight before September 30th for you to be eligible for this promotion.
Reward members will also have to designate who their travel companion will be. The flight with your companion needs to be booked between January 8th, 2024, and March 8th,2024.
This is the latest push by Southwest Airlines to generate more revenue for September flights. Travel begins to lay off once the summer is completed for a few weeks while people gear up for the holiday travel season. The promotion also solves the issue of a post-holiday travel lull that also occurs.
